Business Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Roam! Thanks for joining the program that allows you to turn every customer into a word-of-mouth referral affiliate.
These following terms and conditions apply to merchants who are accessing or using the Program as a store (“you” or “merchant” or "store" or "shop") who uses Roam's software to automatically turn customers into referral partners ("Affiliates" or "Referral Partners" or "Users" or "Customers"). By participating in the Program, Merchant agrees to use the Program in the manner specified in, and are bound by, these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety you are not authorized to register as a store or participate in the Program in any manner.
1. Right to Removal of the Store
We reserve the right to remove ANY Store from the Roam app in our sole and absolute discretion. You will have no legal recourse against us for the removal of your account.
2. Affiliate/Referral Links
Roam will automatically generate Affiliate links each time a customer buys from your store. Each customer will get a unique link generated for your store. If a person clicks on multiple affiliate links, the latest one to be clicked is the one that counts. Using an Affiliate link does not provide a discount to the new customer making a purchase. Affiliates may advertise your store on online channels such as Facebook, Instagram,... or offline classified channel ads, magazines, and newspapers as well as sharing with people in person.
3. Commissions and Payment
When any referred customer makes a purchase on your store using a referral link, The Affiliate will get a commission amount which is calculated based on Commission structure. You set the commission structure for your store. Commission amount is dependent on order value and not including extra fees (tax, shipping cost,...). Commissions undergo a waiting period to account for returns. The waiting period is set by you and is the number of days after the product is delivered for the customer to make a return. After that period, if a return hasn't been started, the commission amount will be automatically transferred from your bank account to ours using a third-party payment provider. Roam holds commissions funds in a separate checking account dedicated to commissions and pays out commissions to Users when they request it. Once commissions reach our bank account, the transfer is final and the funds will not be returned to the merchant. That means any returns, cancelations, or any other editing of the order that happen outside the return window will not affect the commission already paid on those orders. Use of the Affiliate Program is subject to a fair use policy which gives Roam the right to review each and every referral order. Status of commissions is displayed in Merchant Admin portal. Transactions that result in charge backs or refunds will not be paid out.
4. Marketing Tools
Affiliates may use logos, screenshots, and images from Merchant websites to promote the Merchant alongside their referral link.
5. Local Storage
We use browser local storage to track people who have clicked a referral link.If a person clears their site data then we can't track them and thus can't pay earnings on that person's activity. Local storage expiration is set to 30 days by default but can be customized by each merchant. The tracking day will start from the time a customer clicks on the affiliate's link or use the coupon. Within the local storage expiration time, every order made by this customer at merchant website will automatically result in commissions to the affiliate (There's no need for the customer to click on the affiliate link then).
6. Pricing and Payments
Pricing and payment terms are agreed upon before starting the Program. Roam uses Shopify billing to collect payments from the Merchant. If the merchant fails to make payment, Roam has the right to freeze the program for the Merchant until payment is collected. If a merchant fails to pay, Roam reserves the right to remove the Merchant from the Roam app after 15 days. Roam will always try to contact the merchant before taking such action in this scenario.
